John Leach

1957-60 - Trained with father, David Leach, Ray Finch and Colin Pearson.

1960-63 - Trained with grandfather Bernard Leach, St Ives Cornwall.

1965 - Established his own pottery at Muchelney, Somerset.

John has focused on the production of high fired domestic wares produced in a large wood fired kiln. His core team besides himself has been Nick Rees and Mark Melbourne and also various students who have worked at the pottery to learn the craft of making, decorating and firing pots.

John also makes individual work which carry a personal impressed stamp. These pieces include his Black Mood pieces. John has exhibited extensively throughout the UK and abroad for many years. His work is represented in numerous private and public collections including The Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
