Ceramics Art & Perception. September 2011 Contemporary Ceramics Emmanuel Cooper

Sam has been making pots since the early 1990s. Originally from Yorkshire he now works in St Ives, Cornwall. He has become particularly well known for his thrown and altered elongated forms and thrown vessels. His surfaces are treated with both colour and a range of textures together with poured glazes which are built up to achieve a series of very distinctively decorated forms.
