A large stoneware bowl made from a textured clay body. This piece has two horizontal decorative ridges running around the exterior. The bowl has a combination of mainly white and orange slips with patches of a white gloss and an matt opaque glaze applied to the interior. There are also small highlights of a black gloss glaze applied to both the interior and exterior. A maker's mark RW is impressed near the base. Please contact the gallery direct before purchasing as it is COLLECTION ONLY due the size , weight and value of the pot. It is worth pointing out that a nick/splinter of clay is missing to the lower right of the maker's mark where it came in contact with the kiln shelf during the firing. It is not obvious but worth pointing out.
