A thrown stoneware vase with textured layers of slighty burnished grogged clay. Porcelain slips and underglazes have  been applied on top to achieve the colours. It has been finished with isolated highlights of glaze which have been rubbed into the texture. The interior has a deep Tenmoku gloss glaze which contrasts with the matt exterior.
