A large stoneware platter.  This piece has been brush decorated with overlapping images of apples and pears. A coat of Mother of Pearl and Gold lustre has been applied in a third firing. A makers lustred brush mark is positioned  underneath the wide rim. Michael (Bill) Hawkins formed part of the original Fishermans Friends (from Port Issac) who went on to play at Glastonbury and was later made into the 2019 feature film of the same name.

( Please note that this is not a new piece and there are two small areas of lustre which have been worn on the gold lustre rim). It is not instantly noticeable but  has been reflected in the asking price.
