A tall pitcher thrown in a stoneware clay and decorated with a lively matt and gloss green glaze. The surface of the pot has been combed at the lower third with the throwing marks left at the top. A maker's mark is impressed below the handle near the base. A light drying crack follows the line where the handle was attatched to the body of the jug with slip. This is completely filled with glaze and cannot be detected by touch but can be seen visually in the right light. This might concern some collectors but not others.
