A stoneware lidded box. This piece has been coated with a brushed light yellow ochre slip. A floral design has then been applied on top of this slightly textured surface. The interior has been decorated with  a warm/ pale grey glaze.
A maker's mark 'MALTBY' has been painted on the underneath of the box.
