A small thrown stoneware open bowl.  This piece carries the SP (Stoneshill Pottery) mark and dates back to the mid 1960s which was made shortly after John finished  working for David Leach OBE at Bovey Tracey, Devon.
It is decorated on the exterior with two olive green /brown brushed marks on opposing sides. Early pieces have become more sought after during the last few years as buyers add a cross section of John's work to their collections.
