A stoneware tenmoku teapot with a clear glazed interior.  There are some runs of tenmoku on the inside which have been left as an integral part of this piece. There is no evidence of any tea stains. It is likely that it has never been used. A maker's mark is postioned just below the handle and near the foot of this piece. A classic Emms piece for which he was particularly well known.
