Jeremy James

Jeremy trained at Exeter College of Art & Design graduating in 1986 with a 1st Class Honours Degree. By 1987 he had completed a Masters Degree at Cardiff. This was followed by working as a visiting lecturer at various colleges and working from his workshop in Suffolk until 1995. He then moved to Derbyshire to take up a post as Senior Lecturer for the 3D Design course at the University of Derby. Jeremy has continued to divide his time between lecturing and exhibiting his work both nationally and internationally.

He is well known for his hand-built sculptures of birds, wildlife and figurative pieces. In the last few years he has also developed a range of limited-edition lino prints based on similar themes.
