A small coffee mug made from a stoneware clay. The throwing rings have been left as part of the decoration.  It has been glazed using a light oatmeal with  banded iron to the lower two thirds of the mug and on the handle. It is stamped with an impresed maker's mark (m) near the base  below the handle.  It dates to the 1960s. Early pieces have been in particular demand during the last two years.
