A handbuilt slabbed basket with clay strap handle. This piece tips at a slight angle. This is created by straps opf clay added to the one side of the base. It has been decorated with coloured slips creating a floral design. A deep tenmoku glaze has been used for the interior of this piece. A hand painted makes mark (MALTBY) has been added to the underside of the pot. The gallery carries a good stock of work made by John.
