This is a a delightful porcelain tea bowl. It is decorated using a high fired Celadon glaze over a fluted exterior. The glaze breaks thinner and therefore lighter on the edge of each cut which stands in contrast to the adjacent shadow where the glaze is thicker. The glaze has a very fine craze which is typical of other pieces we have sold over the last thirty years. David considered this to be an integral characteristic and decorative aspect of the glaze. There is a makers mark (DL) impressed into the base of the bowl near the turned foot ring. Further information and other pieces are available if you would like to get in touch.
